Our own Brett McCormack was among the hundreds.
Hundreds of Teamsters from across the country are took to Capitol Hill to lobby Congress on the top legislative priorities of North America’s strongest union like the Warehouse Worker Protection Act and the Faster Labor Contracts Act.
Teamsters met directly with members of Congress across the aisle last night at our Political Coordinator’s Meeting reception and spoke with U.S. Senators Josh Hawley (R-MO), Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Roger Marshall (R-KS), Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Richard Blumenthal (D-CT), John Hickenlooper (D-CO), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), and Congressmembers Debbie Dingell (D-MI), Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY), Donald Norcross (D-NJ), Mike Lawler (R-NY), Angie Craig (D-MN), along with many others.
The Faster Labor Contracts Act was introduced in Congress with bipartisan support. When it’s signed into law, it will expedite the process for workers who voted to unionize to win a first contract and hold employers accountable when they drag out negotiations. Today, Teamsters are talking directly to Congressmembers about the critical need to pass the Faster Labor Contracts Act and other vital pro-worker bills.
